Aspiring Artists Exhibition opens Friday, February 25, 2022
Due to Covid precautions, there are different viewing hours for different grade levels.
K - 4th grades, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
5th - 8th grades, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
9th - 12th grades, 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
The Freeport Art Museum is pleased to announce the Aspiring Artists Exhibition, which features over 450 works of art created by area students. Opening on Friday, February 25th and running through April 16th, the exhibition showcases the talent and creativity of students in regional elementary, middle, and high schools. On Friday, February 25, the reception will be held from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Twelve elementary, middle, and high schools from the Freeport and surrounding area will be participating this year!

Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place as well as an honorable mention in each age group are sponsored by Blick Art Supplies. The exhibition is sponsored by FHN. Jurors this year are local artists, Melinda Cook, Linda Vietmeyer, and Kathy Wilken.
This year there will also be an added exhibition of area art instructors' work in the contemporary gallery on the second floor. Please visit this show to see the talent of those who teach!
